Our 8 oz barley straw treats approximately 1000 gallons for 3-4 months. Our 1 lb barley straw treats approximately 2000 gallons for 3-4 months The 25 lb bale will treat 10.000 square surface feet (1/4 acre).

APPLICATION DETAILS:
8 oz & 1 lb barley straw: Simply place the mesh bag along side the pond where there is water movement. Secure to the side of the pond so that after the bag is water-logged, it will not be able to sink more than 3 feet deep. If using more than 1 barley straw bag, place bags at intervals along side the pond or on the wind side.
25 lb bale of barley straw: The barley straw is compressed so it will need to be separated before placing in the mesh bags. Divide the straw into the mesh bags (included) and secure to the side of the pond with the twine (included). Place bags at intervals along side the pond or on the wind side. After the bags have become saturated, keep them above a 3 foot depth.
